Tips

‘Quesea’ at home

Did you know that cheese needs certain care for better preservation?

In general, they should all be protected and kept in the fridge at a temperature below 10ºC to prevent them from drying out and losing flavour.

Long term

If we want to keep it for a certain period of time, we should wrap it in a slightly damp cloth.

Large formats

For large formats with hard paste and dry rind, it can be rubbed with olive oil or butter.

Portions and wedges

For portions and wedges, the cheese should be protected either in its original packaging or in waxed paper (waxed paper, greaseproof paper…).

To prevent mould

To prevent mould from penetrating the cheese, run a knife across the surface, as if you were spreading butter. This will block the entry of oxygen into the cheese.
