Spanish cheeses for everyone in the heart of Gran V\u00eda de Madrid<\/h2>\n

Last Friday, 8 December 2023, Madrid’s emblematic Capitol Theatre became the epicentre of a special gastronomic experience: a cheese tasting for 2,000 people.<\/p>\n

An action, carried out by InLac as part of its \u2018Quesea con Quesos de Espa\u00f1a\u2019 campaign, whose aim was not only to delight passers-by on Madrid’s Gran V\u00eda with the exquisiteness of cheeses of national origin, but also to increase their knowledge of these culinary treasures.<\/p>\n

A tasting to give passers-by and consumers in one of the busiest areas of the country during the festive and pre-Christmas period the chance to broaden their horizons and discover the flavours and textures offered by the wide range of cheeses we have in Spain.<\/p>\n

Throughout the length and breadth of Spain, more than 150 different varieties of cheese are made, which means that our country has 30 quality cheeses, divided into 27 Protected Designations of Origin (PDO) and 4 Protected Geographical Indications (PGI). A true reflection of the tradition and expertise of Spanish cheese producers, who have perfected their artisan techniques generation after generation.<\/p>\n
